bought this one on midway (barrel band sling mount)

Its because I am an extreme accuracy fantic. Most other shooters aren't. It affects the barrel harmonics when you shoot the gun, always does.

I am not happy with one ragged hole 10 shot groups. I expect ONE HOLE 10 shot groups as if only one shot was made at the target.

I try to eliminate every possible variable to throw the accuracy off in any way whatsoever and adding a sling onto the barrel itself is a no-no for me.

Maybe you don't need the absolute one hole groups or 100 yard shooting as I do so you can do as you please. I hunt birds past 100yards.

25 years ago when I bought my Beeman R-10, I knew I had to have a sling on it. I inleted the left side of the forearm and installed a 1” by 2” steel plate with a sling stud in it. It’s still holing fine. It lets the rifle ly flat on my back and doesn’t dig you with the trigger gaurd. There was enough wood to just put a sling stud in the side of the stock, but I had to be different!
