Skanaker repair

you know i looked at the parts breakdown and these pistols looked very busy, meaning there are a whole lot of parts

.i've looked at these pistol for years and was always interested but knew they were a part failure away of becoming a paper weight

i hope you can get it up and running but better then that would be a tutelage stored somewhere on how to fix with what off the shelf parts, other wise all will be paper weight

look at the Hammerli CO2 pistols as what will happen to all old low sale volume air guns

lost knowledge will always hurt these old guns

good luck stay safe

I know Tim MacMurray of Mac1 Airguns did modifications on these at one time and does repairs so I would assume he can reseal them.

I had 2 in past years and though there is a fairly high part count (according to previous post), I didn't find them difficult to replace seals in.

Interesting pistols . Crosman gave a lifetime warranty on them but had a single woman doing the work and would no longer repair them when she was gone. Not sure what their procedure is for a warranty claim now.

I have a Skanaker that I purchased nearly 30 years ago. It was stored away immediately after shooting a few times to check it out. It turned up when we moved to Florida 5 years ago. The seals had deteriorated so that it could not be used. I have contacted all the historical sources for parts and repair, and come to a dead end everywhere. No seal kits and no one doing repairs. Magic 9 in the UK still advertises parts and repair, but the cost to go this route is too expensive. Having done airgun work in the past, I have disassembled the gun and plan to make drawings of the seals. I just celebrated my 90th birthday, so Imay be a bit slow in getting this done. Has anyone found a source for the seals?
