Grouping two plus inches at 75 yards. So, I figured the barrel needed cleaned after 600+ shots on the new gun. I really did not want to ram a rod down the barrel and push all of the little chunks of lead into the guns action. So, I loosened and slid the scope rail off but left my scope on it, so I could get a better purchase on the barrel. It would have been easier if I had just removed the bottle instead. When removing the moderator and shroud grab the moderator, make sure you grip the metal ring at the bottom to remove the whole moderator and shroud assembly, and turn it counter clockwise. You should not need any tools. I loosened the two screws on the barrel bands, circled in yellow. Then I put both hands on the barrel and giving it all that I had it broke loose and I managed to unscrew it and get it off. After a thorough cleaning with a rod, patches and a bronze brush I put it back together good and tight cuz that is the way it was when I took it apart. Then I grabbed the magazine to see if it would turn. Not a chance it was locked up tight. So I needed to lose the barrel a bit but it was on there now and wouldn't budge. Luckily I had a toothbrush in my cleaning kit. ;^) It had the rubber thumb and finger rest. So I cut them off with a razor knife and wrapped one around the barrel so I could put my Knipex pliers on it without doing damage. That did the trick. So what I learned was on re-assembly one needs to snug the barrel up and then back it off 1/8th to 1/4 turn so that the magazine will turn freely before tightening the two Allen head machine screws on the barrel bands.
The gun shot fine after the barrel cleaning. It didn't leak nor did it have to be re-zeroed and groups @ 954fps with the JSB 18.13s were immediately an inch at 75 yards once again. At the range there is a large 14 by 18 inch steel turkey out at 150 meters so I put the gun in full auto guessed at the holdover and let loose with a burst all shots hit plink plink plink plink plink put a big grin on my face as well as another that saw/heard it.

So, I took it apart again just for you. I did it the easier way this time and just removed the bottle taking care not to scratch it up on the edges of the flimsy Picatinny rail. I went ahead and pulled the rail and put a couple dabs of hot glue on the edges, circled in red, to keep it from damaging the bottle when I put it back together.
