SK-19 shooting NSA slugs

Managed to get out to the range today and test the SK-19 with some NSA 17.5 Dome Base HP slugs. A good day for testing as the wind would often die down to under three MPH and sometimes to nothing. As usual the SK shot them in mostly 3/4 to one inch groups at 50 yards just like most everything else I put through the gun. Shot these at 940-980fps. You can see by the large group it did not like that speed.

Tried some of the RWS Super Field 15.9gr also at 830-860fps and it gave me the fits like a few other pellets have shooting one tiny five shot group and the very next five shots some huge outlandish thing. This gun is going to put me over the edge pretty soon. It shoots most ammo in the 3/4 to one inch groups at fifty and seventy-five yards but with certain pellets now and then it will do half inch groups and the very next, with no change to any settings, is an inch and a half. I really don't know what is going on.

Top is a six shot group others are five center is ten shots although the wind came up behind me so it's not as good as it could have been.

Not the greatest but it is what it is with this ammo.

Have you tried JSB 18gr? Mine loves them, smaller than dime size groups all day long @ 45yds. I think you may have something wrong with yours. Dirty barrel or clipping issue?

Yes, tried them they shot good like so many others but not excellent. It is getting near barrel cleaning time again but I don't think that is the problem as it has been this way with a clean barrel as well.

I think I am seating them well but will pay a little closer attention. Thanks.

YO, So you are the one that made that SK-19 disappear on the classified a couple days ago. Usually, they are posted as sold but that one completely vanished. Was actually looking very hard at it for $1450 even though the warranty was most likely expired and it had two previous owners. Let us know if you get the groups promoted in the ad.

Bought it because of the sub MOA past 100 yards claim. Not that I needed a third one in 22. Bought another 22 Impact that shoots Corbin NSA 22 grain 2 inches at 200 yards too. Not that I needed another one of that either.

Yeah, I wonder the same thing. Can't get anything past Yo. Damn good price.

I kinda felt bad so I sent $1500. I have an adjustable Corbin NSA custom die set coming. This should be able to make NSAs and even in between and a cup base option in addition to the standard flat base for added longer range stability (I HOPE). Make your own pellets and slugs are the best for the ultimate in accuracy.
