SK-19 Power Knob: What specifically does it adjust?

Just so there's no confusion, I'm talking about the silver power adjustment wheel/knob under the rear of the SK-19, not the regulator knob out front.

Exactly what is adjusted when you turn the power knob? Does it directly adjust the valve in some way? Like the tension of a spring on the valve? Or does it adjust the size of some orifice between the valve and the projectile? Supposedly the gun doesn't have a hammer, which also means there is not a hammer spring that would be adjusted by the knob.

It's a restriction for airflow is about the simplest I can describe it.

There’s two valves in the sk-19. The “power” knob adjusts the closing valve. Allowing more or less air to be released.

Thanks guys. Is the closing valve the same valve some people refer to as the "Floating Valve"?

I don’t know, I’ve never heard of it being referred to as a floating valve. Where did you hear that reference?

When I sent my SK-19 in for repair (the second time) tech wrote:

The issue was the floating valve. Installed Gen 2 Floating Valve. Modified hand for spring longevity and installed new spring.

I’m assuming the floating valve is what I call the opening valve(the valve that blows air directly to the pellet). I say that because the closing valve is controlled by a spring. While the opening valve is actuated by air pressure.
