Anybody know where I can get a SST for my EdGun R3M 25? Brian doesn't have one and I sent Carm an Email about the one they have for the R5M and they say it wont work for the R3M.

Do you have a bolt or a side lever?
My Supermagnum R3M was a single shot bolt action. No need for a SS tray.
First we need a picture. Then Montster Design can make you anything if it can be done.
Look at the SS trays he made me. Great member here. Also Tran Trung can do trays. A ton of guys with 3D printers. All you need to do is put a WTB ad up here on The Classified Section. Ask for a SS tray with a picture of your platform.

I do have a WTB in the classifieds, but I didn't include a picture. I will add a picture as soon as I can get to my phone. The R3M is magazine fed and is a rear bolt setup.

I preferred Ed's single shot bolt action but most people don't.
I don't know what hinders it from being a possibility but some airguns like Sumatra, Rainstorm are indexed upon cocking. If your EDgun is like those in any way I can see why someone told you it can't be done.
I've literally had to use plastic tweezers or be gentle with Hemostats to load slugs in testing the above mentioned platforms.
I COULD disable the indexing system. On the Rainstorm that would be fairly easy. Though some designs are incorporated in a way that adds tension required for trigger/safety to work.
See, Brian at EDgun West maybe able to do this for you. Just know that you might loose your ability to use a multi shot magazine in the future if you choose that route.
Dedicated airgun for slugs or pellets? Very few allow all lengths & types of projectiles to be used. In all honesty I would decide if I wanted mine to send pellets or slugs, and be happy with the choice.

What are you trying to accomplish with the single shot tray? You should be able to throw the disconnect lever and then use the magazine manually. That will make working the bolt smoother/easier, and you can just manually turn the magazine.

I haven't tried using the disconnect lever.....I wasn't sure if it is the force used to cock the bolt making the slugs move in the magazine....Slugs would move forward and jam up the rotation of the magazine. Some slugs would just fall out the back of the mag......I will try this until the single shot tray arrives.

You are using slugs instead of pellets? I haven't tried that, but my gut reaction is that if the slugs are moving they might be undersized. Using the disconnect lever will take some of the "bump" out of throwing the bolt, so that might help, but if whatever is in the magazine isn't fitting snugly you will likely have a problem anyway.

Single shot tray is the way to go for slugs with the R3M. CARM sells them. As with almost everything he makes, I’m sure they are awesome.
