Single Shot Loader Needed for FX Impact?

I see that single shot loaders are preferred by some over magazine loaders. Is it because magazine loaders are likely to deform the pellet in some way when inserting into the breech? If so does the new Stud Magazine for the FX Impact M3 from Doug Hepler eliminate that problem?

Some of the after market magazines can help if the spring is adjustable. If you have a lite pellet, esp if it is really soft lead the spring tension can deform the skirt. Or if you do heavy slugs and you have to up the spring tension to allow it to advance the slugs for the full magazine then decide to put a soft pellet in, it can deform the skirt.
