Based on what I have shot, it might get through a beam can from a foot away with something like Crossman heavies. But I’m not positive it would.
I don’t eat canned vegetables, or I would gladly try it. I do know it goes clean through a chipmunk at 28 yards. I was shocked at how hard it was hitting them. Are bean cans aluminum now? Or are we talking the old steel can with the rim around each top and bottom?
The wood that I am shooting it into is that old hard treated stuff that’s been sitting on the shelf for 12 years and then finally makes it onto your deck, and has been there outside for another 8 years. It’s not soft pine, it’s hard as a rock at that point. If you hit a knot, It flattens the pellet and bounces right back.
Building excellent air rifles is certainly something the British Empire did well. And still does.
