I bought a SwampFox Blade, just...to see what it is about.
I bought the 1x, in green. There's also a 3x version with a similar retical. Much like other Prism sights, the unit works with or without the battery. It also works with most ANYONE'S eyesight. Astigmatism or not. The recital is VERY clear and crisp, and I have an astigmatism.
The 1x is made for 5yrd to 50/200yrds. So once you verify which subtension works for your guns pellet/slug speed, you'll know what the other point distances are good for.
From the book.
The tip of the "carret" (lowermost point, 6 o'clock) is for 5yrds,
The round dot is for 10yrds.
The bottom of the Trident is 15yrds.
The top of the Trident is for 50yrds (or farther, depending on your setup).
OR, each of the subtensions can be used at any distance that your gun works with. Start at 10yrds, or start at 15yrds, and go out. Up to the shooter.
So again, once you've done some initial homework with the different sections of the reticle, you don't have to guess the you may need for the "holdover" of your targets distance when using a single dot sight.
I put it on my Caiman this afternoon. Needed only a VERY small vertical adjustment to get it on target.
