When adjusting the hammer spring tension is the setting at the top the setting it’s on? The gun came with max on top.

Yes, but all of the different HST settings don’t line up perfectly at the top. Generally, yes the topside position is the HS setting you would be on. I suggest positioning the HST dial at “MAX”, then clicking it whichever way you want to your desired setting paying attention to the clicks versus the labeled settings on the HST wheel/dial. Like I mentioned, they don’t all line up directly on top...

All of mine line up with the numbers, except I get an extra detent between 5 and Max. I call it minimax.
