What silicone oil do you use to lube a hand pump? Is there a preferred viscosity or brand? I've checked all gun shops and auto parts stores in my area with no luck. I know I can get it on line but has anyone found it locally.

I called one and their silicone shock oil was not 100% silicone. I didn't call the few that were 15 minutes away because I found the treadmill lube at Dick's.

Go to your local sporting goods store, one that carries treadmills. They should have treadmill mat oil as it’s a maintenance thing to shoot and spread this oil under the mat after so many hours. Treadmill mat oil is 100% silicone but of a heavier viscosity. Anymore, between that and Trident brand Divers silicone grease, that’s all the silicone lubricating products I use. When I first got into pcp’s I foolishly bought 100% silicone oil thru eBay that cost way too much for the amount you get, and the viscosity was very thin, like as thin as that product called RainX for your cars windshield.
The treadmill mat oil’s viscosity is very close to what Huma uses in their regulator rebuild kits that they send inside of a syringe, akin to baby oil viscosity.
