Silencer (Moderator) quandary for my Red Wolf

I recently got to purchase a Red Wolf Midnight standard in .22. This rifle has the Safari tune (board) so it is a 45 FPE airgun which is quite different than my standard Pulsar that works great with a DonnyFL Tatsu. I have a Hugget Snipe on the rifle now which is fine for low power (32 FPE) but doesn't quite tame high or medium for back yard use. I've been wondering if the 0db 160 would be a quieter choice for this rifle. I'm a DonnyFL fan but I want something a little flashier for this rifle.

So - is a 0db 160 quieter than a Hugget Snipe?

I have several .22's

I somewhat accidently found that some silencers work different on different guns, with similar power.

I have a .22 Prophet. I put a Tatsu on it and shot a couple of magazines. Then for the hell of it, I put my short (110) 0db on it, which is a little longer, but smaller in diameter than the Tatsu. The 0db silencer was notably quieter than the Tatsu. But, on two other guns, the Tatsu and the 0db are very similar in sound..!

Buy'em both and find out what you like best.

On the Red Wolf HO, the Snipe plenty for me on HP, and the most pleasing of the ones I tried, but didn’t try a 0db. In the shorter barrel and high power settings, that rife should be louder than the longer versions.

How some of these sound on other rifles are not going to help much. Also, I think your ears are going to be the determining factor. I asked people their thoughts, and my thought never seem to mirror others. To me, most of the ones I’ve tried of similar size, haven’t sounded very different at all on the same rifle.
