Here's a silage bag with tape over all the holes made by Ravens and Crows. The farmer at this place checks each bag in the morning and evening every day to tape up new holes.

Its been a while since I've had some rabbit for dinner, but hopefully not too much longer. Has the farmer checked on a permit from the dnr to allow hunting of the non game species like the crow? If I'm not mistaken farmers can get them if the animals are causing a lot of damage to their property and crops. I've heard of them getting these permits for deer due to crop damage but I've never seen one in person.

This will be interesting..

I shot them out of season last fall and winter under the Federal Depredation Order. Similar to a permit but without needing a permit. I used my shotgun. I'm pretty sure a rifle of any kind is not allowed to be used.

When shooting under the order, steel shot must be used. I don't have a problem shooting them with a shotgun....I like crow hunting.
