Sightron seems very good so far.

The S-Tac is super clear and appears as bright as the Meopta and a few others. The reticle isn't very busy and to my eyes no distortion to 20X.
It really seems light weight to me, and I'm looking forward to getting it out.

I've got an Edgun R3, .22 slug shooter on loan to me with an S-Tac 4x20x50 on it. I LOVE that scope! Clean reticle & beautiful clarity. I'll be sorry to see it go back to its owner. UPDATE! As of this past Saturday (5/25) I OWN the Eddy & Sightron! I'm a happy man!

On Saturday, 5/25 I traded my FX Bobcat. 22 for the Edgun with the Sightron! (Thank you Centercut!!!) Love that scope!

I've had that little R3 Long for quite a few years now. I bought it from Derrick Wall @zx10wall in 2019 (I think), and it shot well with the .22 RD Monster 25.4 grain. And of course, coming from Derrick, you know the trigger was perfect!
In order to shoot those at a good enough speed the gun was pretty much maxed out, so I did a few things.
- Added Huma reg.
- Added Huma Power Plenum
-Added Huma "barbell" hammer weight.
These mods allowed me to drop the reg pressure from about 160-165 bar down to 135 bar and lower the hammer tension quite a bit. The gun has always been very accurate and I decided to try some lightweight slugs at high speeds.
The NSA 22 grain .2165, the Daystate Howlers 22 grain, and the FX Hybrid slugs all shot lights out to over 150 yards. The Howlers were given the nod and tuned to about 990 fps.
Shortly after that, I took the gun hunting (not sure if Gerry was there?) and got three ground squirrels in about 5 minutes from 161, 172 and 172 yards. Three shots, three "helicopter tails"...
The Sightron on that came later and its one of my favorite scopes. Clear, good clicks, excellent reticle.

I WAS there that day. Think that was my 1st "atta boy" from you when I dropped a ground squirrel off the top of a rock at 125 yards with my Royale 500. My personal best at the time. Glad you were there to witness & encourage me to push the envelope! 125 is NOTHING for the Eddy. My best with it so far is 161 yards & hope there's more to come!

It is easy on my old eyes. For holdover, I can easily adjust my point of aim. Many scopes have so many graduation lines in between the major points that I can’t remember which one I used on my previous shot. I hope I made that understandable.
