Been a frustrating day. Put my new Hammer scope on Benjamin this morning and could not get it to shoot consistent. I finally found the screw that holds the barrel on was loose, tightened it up. After a few chocks was lose again. went and got some 242 LOCKTITE. after my nap see what I can do this afternoon?

It may help gain your confidence if you can find a solid rest to lay the gun on while learning the trigger and recoil of the gun. I used a small step stool turned upside down to hold the gun while I worked on the scope and trigger together.

Hey Davefishing. Frustrating day for me as well. My break barrel just destroyed another scope rated for magum springers. Have a great Hawke scope not in use but I am hesitant to mount it on the rifle. Just not sure I want to take the chance of killing another scope.

I HAVE A SHOOTING BENCH, BORROWED FROM A FRIEND. THE SCREW CAME LOSS AGAIN AFTER A BOUT 20 SHOTS. PULLED IT OUT CLEANED ALL GREASE OFF AND RELOCTIED IT. SEE WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS.

Aw man, sorry to hear your troubles. I had to give up on my Nitro piston gun because it sheared off the bolts. Gave me an excuse to go to the dark side, though.

Just got the BENJAMIN MAYHEM couple weeks ago the scope that came with it fell apart. jim NM recommended the Hammers 3-9x40AO Magnum Spring so that is what I got. There were a lot of good reviews on it. Pryamyd Air recommend the Benjamin to me.

Since you already have issues with the gun falling apart already- I would urge you to talk to (nicely) with Pyramid Air A.S.A.P. It is not acceptable to have the gun shake itself apart in a few hundred rounds. PA should be able to give you some kind of remedy and/or advice.

CLEAN BOLT AND RELOCTITED . LET IT SET ALL NIGHT, AFTER ABOUT 20 SHOTS LOSE AGAIN. TIME TO RETURN. SUGGESTION ON DIFFERENT GUN. MAY GO TO A 22 GASSER. HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM Pryamyd Air STILL EARLY.
