Diana Sight replacement

I have a Diana 48 and I use a scope so there is no need for the factory sights. The front one comes off with a set screw. Is there any type of weight or muzzle device that could replace the front sight? I use the gun for plinking and possibly for some field target shooting.

Thank you!

Heck out Hector Medina?

Hector says here ( a so called diana guru )

then any of the commercially available muzzle weights can be drilled out to use the 15 mm's inner barrel diameter and the 18 mm's sleeve's OD to make a good piece.

if i were you i would try to take the front sight mount off first
i remember trying on a dead 48 i have and gave up

now most posts will say you can just drill out any muzzle brake to 15mm and to that i say HORSE FEATHERS
you would need a drill press a way to hold it 90 degrees to the table and a drill bit
large drills love to walk and a lathe would be your best bet and even fewer of us have a lathe

I have taken the entire front sight off that’s what made me start thinking about something to put in its place. The barrel is shrouded and there are groves cut into the barrel to align the sight.
