Sigh (of frustration)

While traveling from Pennsylvania back to Northeast Indiana on our way back from visiting family, I had the bright idea to change up the boring drive across Ohio by stopping at the Twin Oaks Air Rifle Range in Chagrin Falls,Ohio. After all, I have my shiny, brand new Avenge-X Tactical and GX-CS3 Pump with me. Why not stop and take a look at the home of the upcoming ”Burning River 120?” that takes place in just a few weeks. I am considering going and it would be my first event ever so it would be nice to actually see a HFT course in person to see for myself before making the three and half hour drive back in a few weeks. Personally, I thought this would be a smart move On my part.

Turns out, it wasn’t. What I found was a beautiful piece of land that appears to be someone’s private propert. From the posts on the Northeast Ohio Airgunners’ website, I had no idea. Instead, I inferred the Twin Oaks Air Rifle Range would be something open to the public or at the least, would have a member shooting that I might ask for a tour of the facility.

instead, I found the wife and I pulling up to someone’s private drive. Boy did we feel stupid. and with no phone number to call to contact anyone at NOA Northeast Ohio Airgunners”, we sheepishly turned around and lurked around the neighborhoo, trying to make we were indeed at the correct location. It seems, we were.

So if you are a member of N.O.A. and it was your driveway that had a maroon colored F-150 with a middle aged Caucasian couple with confused looks on their Faces, show up on your driveway cameras around 3 pm today, please accept our apologies. 😳

Yeah this club is strictly open for FT matches. As are most air rifle exclusive clubs. They won’t even set the course up until a few days prior to the GP or any other regular match.
Make the drive back. It’s 4hrs for me and I’ll be there. I shoot there monthly as well.
It will be a fun learning experience and then there will be plenty of people to talk to. It is private and on someone’s land but they allow use during matches only.
