Sidewheel clearance for March 8-80 IR scope with March mounts

Hey guys,



Looking to get a sidewheel made, hoping someone who uses March rings on an 8-80 w/ IR module can help me get some measurements as I'm currently away.

Please confirm the distance between scope tube and the outermost edge of the large nut on the left side of the mount (pic below):

Per the pic below, should be real close but .60" may be too close allowing inner face of wheel to collide with the mount nut?

wouldn't it be easier just to flip the ring around, oh I know the name would be backwards but the people walking up could read it

I want to maintain the nut on the left side as my other rigs, also would be easier to slide on the custom wheel to fit the existing set up.
