Sideshot magazine problem with slugs?

I had problem using the slugs in my Sideshot magazine but luckily the inserts by Orion The Iguana Hunter solved the issue. Previously the slugs would rotate and tip over as the original insert was too loose. Now I can confidently use the new insert without worrying the slugs getting jammed into my barrel.

I'm glad they are working for you.

FX already fixed the issue on the new M3 magazines, in 25 caliber they dropped the number of shots from 28 to 25... I had to do the same for the 25 cal when I was fixing this problem. But I ended up with 26 shots... I'll go ahead and make my insert in 25 cal same as the new M3 magazines so people can use the same speed loaders (those need to be redesigned too) but I'm happy they corrected this problem.

I'm filming a quick video too about the inserts, and now that I have an FX Impact, those inserts will land inside another product I'm working on 😏

Another good video.I don't know if I would get too wound up about having a slug tune that works well with pellets as I haven't seen many posts where people have had success. Get one shooting very well (in your case the JSBs) and enjoy shooting. I haven't tried slugs in my .25cal mag yet, but if I have an issue I'll definitely be looking for a solution from Orion.

@orion. It is great that you are making the 25 cal inserts as well, I am sure 25 cal shooters will be happy to try out your inserts for slugs. Looking forward to your new video.

@corvid_hunter. Thank you. My goal is to set the Impact to be a slug shooter so I can use it for coyotes. Last year I was doing really well with it shooting the H&N 23gr, that was before the upgrade of the Huma probe and slug power kit. I was getting great advise from viewers to increase my reg pressure a bit from 100 BAR to get better groups. I will need to give that a try and fingers cross that I will get the tight groupings I seek. But at least I know the Redesign can be stacked with my Impact if the slugs testings failed.
