If considering the purchase of a Side-Shot scope cam, it is best to purchase the 30mm scope clamps. A cheap pair of ring inserts can convert the 30mm clamp rings into 1 inch clamp rings. That way you have the ability to mount to any 1 inch or 30mm scope with the same $60 clamp. I have two 30mm scope clamps from when I had two 30mm scopes. I've since sold both those scopes and have two 1 inch scopes. The .635" width inserts I purchased on amazon did the trick. I can always go back to 30mm just by removing the inserts.
