Side Shot mounting question

im a lefty also,
i wanted the phone to be on the right side of the scope (arken 6-24 with a side wheel)

but with the phone on the right i was not able to cock the gun,
as the mount got in the way of the cocking lever on my impact.

and also had to trim the mounting rods shorter so i could slide the sideshot all the way up against the scope,
as the rods were hitting my scope level.

but all the hiccups were worth it,
love my sideshot :)

mounted the sideshot on the left with a sidewheel, yes.

would have preferred it on the right but its not a huge deal breaker,
i just have to tip the gun to the right to see the phone so i can hit record.

but the wheel on my arken is a good bit smaller than the big wheel of the sidewinders.

gimme a few min and ill go get it out of the case and snap a few pictures to show how i did mine.

heres how i had to trim the rods to make it work for me,
had to trim both,
one was hitting my scope level,
and the other hit the wheel.

would really prefer to have it on the right side,
but hey,
ill add it to the list of things i hate about being left handed lol

i also swapped out the screw that holds the little phone holder tab that keeps your phone in the mount for a longer one,
as my phone was too big.

the trick to getting good scopecam video is to use manual focus to first focus the camera to the reticle,
get the reticle as sharp and crisp as you can.

then when you are recording,
you will focus with the side wheel (or front ao)
and that will bring your target and the rest of the image into focus,
while still giving you a crisp in focus reticle.

heres a screenshot of a video,
through my arken 6-24x set on 18x,
at a groundhog at 50yds.
