Showing Off my DRS Tactical .25

I build virtual ones for $6k. They hold like 300 different tables, pretty nuts. But with my profits I bought 3 new Stern Premiums, then got "24". That's it though. I'm not getting anymore unless I sell 24. I do really enjoy the ones I got. They should last me.

Will def check that out when I get a chance. So I take it the layouts are all digital and you can change it to whatever is programmed in there. That is wild.

Yeah, you can switch between tables. It's run by a PC with a fast graphics card and fast refresh monitor. There is a program that puts everything in a menu for you. They got the physics down so the ball behaves just like the real thing. Fun hobby and all the "tables " are free. Very talented guys all over make the tables and its a dedicated free thing. Super cool. Called "Visual Pinball (VPX)."

I agree with the accuracy, I took my 6-24x44 Vector Veyron off my AvengeX and put it on my .25 DRS Tactical 600mm and won’t be taking it off. I love to shoot this gun, perfect at 50-70yds, probably farther but I haven’t gotten around to setting up anything further. 900fps with 25 grain pellets with the factory tune.

Maybe this is why they are only $1000. Every time I try to have a relationship with a gun, something like this happens, usually on the first day.

It just randomly stopped cocking. Then the Mag would not come out and so I held the bolt all the way back and tapped the magazine out. Bad idea. Mag is also destroyed.

Did you double load it? I haven’t used the FX mag, I had 3 from Orion delivered before the Tactical showed up. My son double loaded my AvengeX, I pulled the barrel and the second pellet fell out of the front of the block then fired the 1st pellet out after reinstalling the barrel.

That was soob (straight out of box )?
Yes, I filmed the video, put it away. Got it back out 2 months later, About 40 shot later it didn't cock once. Somehow it cocked again (was single shot loading). Then about 15 shots later with the mag in (which was just as accurate with 0% POI shift when adding my Huggett), it would not cock again. My bad for forcing the mag out, I just wanted the issue resolved and not have to send it to Utah Airguns. Now my probe won't even come out when I remove the pin. Even if I did replace my probe, there would still be the issue present that does not retract the probe in some cases.

What causes this? When your gun won't cock all of a sudden (hammer spring maxed out?) but then the other symptom is your probe doesn't retract with the bolt all the way back??

Since Utah sold me a defective M4 (guess they forgot to check it before sending, as ALL guns get checked according to the website), then they wanted to charge me shipping when I returned it. Sell a defective product then charge the customer to return it. Huh? That was one of the worst days of my life. Like meeting your Hero and finding out ...you know. So I'm sure this will cost me about $150. Not so cheap now is it?

Kind of like when my Power Pup's safety didn't work out of the box. Ouch!

...OK, I'm done ranting. I'll let you know what happens with my "Warranty".

P.S. If Utah tries to charge you shipping for a defective return, just do what I did and say "Are you "freaking" kidding me?", then they will say, "OK, we won't chage you".

Not from double loading. Something is wrong with the bolt/probe/hammerspring, not sure what. I will ask Utah what happened if someone on here doesn't pop up with the answer to what causes that.

One of those things I don’t know what to think. I happen across a good number of fx issues. FX sells a lot of guns so is that it ? Is it quality QC ? Do people just like to bash ? Other companies have issues you just don’t hear about them as much. Example if you search enough you can find that daystate having some issues with garbage barrels in 25 and 30 is a thing. Yet it isn’t out there nearly to the degree of every simple fx issue. Ugh…it’s frustrating.

nice tappin lol

Without a doubt frustration set in to damage it that bad. I've owned 7 fx rifles, The few problems I've had was user error like double load, turning H/S adjuster while the gun was cocked, not closing the magazine correctly. All seven were MOA out of the box and great (as advertised) shot count for each gun and caliber. I'm not selling guns for FX just giving my experience with them.

I think they sell so many guns that the fraction of a percent that have problems seem like more. Any mass produced product will have a few duds. They probably manufacture them so good now that it's far easier to fix a few duds later, than check every rifle at the factory. I can't wait to get my DRS back and see if it shoots as good as before. I will know if it's even 1mm off. If it shoots the same I will probably buy the DRS Pro. I love the feeling of KNOWING your going to hit the target every time. That absolute confidence in your gun makes shooting alot easier (and relaxing).
