I’m a very picky individual.
I deburr and polish each screw, top to bottom, that goes into my gun, whether a set, a button, a countersunk, or a cap.

Lots of eye candy in this post! Are Air Arms rifles as accurate as some people claim? Or are they just good lookers?

They call that wood figure 'flamed', 'curly' (sometimes), 'ripple', 'tiger' and 'fiddleback'. Fiddleback is a special variety of flame where the flames are 1/4" apart, 90 degrees to the grain and repeat consistently (requires a very special growing procedure and is HIGHLY sought after for instruments).
The old timers used a rusted iron treatment (iron nitrate and tannic acid) on the original flintlocks to bring out the flame (the rust would not fill the overly dense grain of the flame highlighting it against darker areas without flame).
Not sure I have ever seen flamed blond walnut, I like...

Newbie here. Are AA rifles better quality then Diana or Benjamin, which seems to be close in pricing?

I have all the above
My Benjamin airguns are nice. Not toys but nothing I would say is valuable.
My Diana is a Very nice gun and it shoots well.
But my TX200 is something I would leave to my kids. My HFT-500 is the center point of my airgun hobby. It is all I want to shoot.
And the accuracy of both make the other guns basically for sale.
