So I have a 250mm in 25 cal, but want to add the 22 cal to the Leshiy...What are the pros and cons of going to the longer barrel? I have a Taipan in 25 to reach out and most of my shots are within 50-60 yards when I hunt..I can't decide on the 250mm or the 350mm in 22.

Thanks

Tony P.

How are you gonna run it? Sub 12, full gas, or something in between?

generally speaking, shot count and it's going to run quieter. in the .25, all things equal the difference between 250mm and 350mm was about 80fps. If you're in the UK running .177 or .22 350mm in a sub 12 config it's going to sound broken it's so quiet... just with OEM. Throw in the Akula and you could shoot it at the dinner table.

Responding to the request for barrel length in .22. I’ll say really depends on what you want to get out of it. I have a 250mm .22 barrel and I appreciate how it keeps the gun it’s stock length but can still be both powerful and quiet at the same time. With reg at 110bar and about 8-10 clicks CCW of the hammer spring I can easily push 16gr at 750fps using ~5 bar per shot. A few more turns and I can get into the mid 800s but air use, recoil and noise all go up considerably. That’s ~20fpe. If I was going for a more powerful 30 fpe build I would definitely use the 350mm barrel but going the 350mm Route I would say to check out the DonnyFL extension as you can run a 350mm with stock length, still get some air stripping internally and if you need more silence ad any standard moderator to it.

I spoke to Otis. Sounds like that guy likes to tinker just as much as we do (though he's not an AGN member... yet). Anyways, he did in fact swap out the 250mm barrel for 350mm barrel and claims that it is much quieter, smoother & less jumpy. I thought that would be the case, but its nice to hear it first hand.

Here's another pic of his crazy rig

Here is my baby. Huma regulator, Wika analog gauge, March 1-10 illuminated scope. Nightforce rings with bubble level. 350mm .25 cal. Two stage trigger kit. Amazingly accurate and easy to through in the back seat of the Jeep and head out for a little fun:)
