Show me your pickup truck bed shooting stations for prairie dogs/ground squirrels/etc hunting

Shooting from a vehicle is prohibited where I hunt.
That being said check out these rifle rests. I bought a monopod and it’s well made.
The truck rigs look very functional.

Does using an Air Rifle count as an handicap? ;)
I've seen a couple coyote rigs in California, but not sure of the laws there. I'm in SC now and they use dogs to hunt deer, wth

Hunting/shooting from inside of vehicles is strictly prohibited here in CA. If people are doing that on their private properties then they might not want to advertise that. Call your local law enforcement and game wardens, they will have definitives answers for you as they will be the one interpret the law and decide what to do with you.

Qball,
It's my understanding that they hunted coyotes from the backs of the trucks (I could be wrong). Some Coyote contest club members, This was several years ago, I never went with them, only saw a couple pictures of peoples trucks with Rotating chairs and Red Spot Lights mounted.
I moved to SC, and haven't spoken with the guy who showed me the pictures in 4 years, so I'm not sure I could track him down.

Same here in Michigan. Shooting from "inside" the vehicle is prohibited without a handicap permit. That said...
Shooting from a raised platform is a "grey" area. You're by definition, not "in" the vehicle. You're above it. Until they update and put into law the correct definition... I hunt from this.

6'8" above ground. Easy to sit on a couple of swivel chairs with monopods. 12v 96 led IR pods are used for my ir night vision. Mostly use thermal though. I've got an 8' telescoping ladder that is easily stowed inside the back next to my roll bar.
Platform is 6x8 steel diamond mesh.

We're headed out for coyote tonight using this. 😊

Cheers,

K9
