Show em - Single stroke/Pump Pneumatics, the more exotic the better!

I think there is a different or official abbreviation for the term but I can't remember what it is??? Anyway I'd really like to see as many photos as possible because these are my favorite kind of non PCP guns.

Plain Jane's welcome too of course.

Here's mine, an old FWB 601.

Looking good guys!

It'd be fun to meet up and have a plinkfest trying all those different AG's out wouldn't it?! I know that's not possible but just thinking out loud.

I wonder what other brands besides FWB and Walther made SSP's?

AGM, I didn't realize there were so many odd brands of MSP's. I have an old C140, a Sharp Innova, and had a Daystate Sportsman.

Keep the pics coming please!

Who else has made SSPs? Daisy, of course!

Where would we be without the 753/853/953 series of SSP target guns?

And even the oft-overlooked though very satisfying Daisy 2840? SSP for BBs and pellets with a rifled steel barrel. That's right, a single-stroke plinker rated at ~280 fps for steel BBs, and somewhere south of 240 fps for CPWadcutters at 7.4 grains.

"I wonder what other brands besides FWB and Walther made SSP's?"

Some that come readily to mind include Air Match and Pardini, both pistols. Also, the Titan Mohawk rifle came in single or multi-stroke; I've owned both.

In fact I set an NRA silhouette National Record in Sporter Class with the Titan SSP back in the 1980s. Whenever a piston-gun shooter wondered about it, I'd let them shoot it; the first shot after charging the rifle for them (I have the strength of ten men). Invariably they'd say something like, "WOW, that's almost like cheating!"

Then I would instruct them carefully in how to charge, cock, and load it; whereupon only some could actually do so. Then they'd say something like, "DANG, how can you shoot a forty-shot match with that thing?"

My reply never varied. "It's not just shooting a forty-shot match with it that's the problem. It's shooting a forty-shot match with it AFTER shooting as many shots in practice that's a bitch!" That always ended all talk about cheating.

Congrats on that record!

How many FPE is the Titan SSP?

It thinks it's exotic.

Our oldest son shooting my Gamo Compact several years ago. I bought it from Davis at ARS. RWS sticker on the box. I paid about $100 for it new(1992?). After changing springs in the trigger and some minor work I could shoot in the 90"s with it all day. Amazing cheap gun. I can't see the sights anymore to shoot like that.

The older I get, the better I was.
