Shot string with Daystate Wolverine 2 HP .22

I did some testing with two different pellets. I filled to 240 bar or 3600psi. It took 10 shoots to get into steady speed. It looks like I have about 25 hunting shots after that at 57.21ke with 25.4 JSB. If I fill to 230 bar or 3300 psi - the first pellet is 1008.

Then i went to 34g JSB Beast and only had about 10 shots in within 10 fps

Should I only be filling to 230 bar and starting there? My manual says max bar 250 and to fill to 240 bar. Thats almost 100 fps difference from the sweet spot. Not very good for hunting.

Another concern is when I got this gun two weeks ago (new) I shot both pellets over the same chrony at 200 bar. They averaged 1030 and 935 fps . After about 300-400 pellets my speeds are much slower. Do I have a problem?

So here is a shot group from my standard Wolverine 2 .22. It should say 230 bar not 320 bar. So when I give it 230 bar you can see the beginning curve. I never go that high due to drop in fps. My sweet spot is 180-205 bar.

My bad. Thought you had HP Renegade. Disregard the below. Get a HUMA. The one for the Wolverine (pressure tube version, not bottle) fits the Renegade. I’d order the 25 cal version since it has a larger plenum for your high power .22. That way you can fill to 250 bar and have a low ES. Look at your shot string and set the reg to the lowest pressure that still gives good fps.

Can i put a regulator on this gun? will I loose speed? I would just like my first and 20th shoot to be the same with a 240 bar fill. I can only achieve that with a 220 bar fill and get 15 shoots with 34gr beast pellets.

I have only seen one on a wolverine 2 bottle gun, it was not a HP 60ke gun, and he took it off of I followed the post correctly.

I know the Huma is for tube Daystates, not bottle guns. I believe I saw a regulator at some point that went between the bottle and the block.
You may already know all this. The slingshot hammer on the Daystates are very efficient with air as you can see from the large shot count I posted above. The problem with a non-regulated gun is you get that curve. The low fps when fully charged is because of the back pressure on the the hammer/transfer valve. Until it drops a bit the fps will be diminished. Daystate claims they don't need a regulator because of the high shot count. They are also an English company that has a 12 foot pound and under law. You don't need to fill to max when you get a million shots per charge. This is why I have been hesitant other than the electronic Daystates to go above .22. Also another option, if you bench shoot a lot is to tether at a specific pressure and have a flat shot group.

Matt has a good video explaining this in part 3 and 4.
