SHOT Show

So I don’t see a lot of enthusiasm on the forums about Shot show. Just seems like the excitement level isn’t as high as it has been. From what I’ve seen most of the new products are lower priced products with a lot of co2 pistols. I didn’t really see anything that piqued my interest or made me want to spend money on. What say you guys?

You know, I sense that too. I wonder if there are so many clones of the same guns now, all branded differently, that it's just an awful lot to sift through. And compressors, when we go from none to one or two, it's a big deal. Now every airgun exhibitor has one or two, and aside from the Air Force compressor, maybe a few others, most seem suspiciously alike. I've seen very few truly new or innovative products, mostly just tweeks of existing products. An infinite choice of scopes, mostly iindistinguishable from the others. I spent most of my time chatting and gossiping with the exhibitors instead of chasing news.

Yep, these guns have hit the breaking point.

The 1G dreamline will ace the Impact and wildcat out by 50% , both in price and purchases.

The300 -600 beginner guns are going to go big. The new nomad and others will or should cut into the bottle business.

No they are not the same thing, but, IMHO, they're close enough for a try!

I like the looks of the newly modified Brocock. I'm leaving some out

I agree hype was out long before shot show as some guns are not even out from the other shows from last year diana ? just not sure why but I think people have already got the guns they want

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I thought maybe I just missed something. I think we have been razzled & dazzled so much that takes a lot to get us to say WOW.

I have never been to one of these big shows but it has always appeared to me that the biggest (and most exciting) airgun related products has been presented at the IWA show in Nürnberg.

As for me, I'm tired of getting excited about something that's introduced, then you can't get it for 8-9 months. It's like "what's the point... tell me about it when it's an achievable reality". I know it's neat to see what's coming, but after a while, I'm more interested in what I can buy and GET vs what I can buy and wait for product development.

Yeah, or worse yet, buy it when it is in product development.

I've been waiting for this rifle for Quite a While!

I think one in .25 will be my 1st 2019 purchase.

Air rifles have peaked. Now it is just adding bells and whistles for the same price to give more bang for the buck. Hard to improve performance much. And quality can’t get better and stay cheap. It will be somewhat less exciting for a while and then if you want “better” you will pay for it. Kind of like cell phones. We all got use to having them and now the prices are cranked up. Electronics are dirt cheap. The price of a Samsung or apple is just plain robbery. Is this where air rifles are heading?
