Shot Nine Rats today...

All from 5 to 42 yards, I was only able to retrieve six carcasses. As you can see from the photos some of the rats die right on top of their holes. I had two fall too deep into the manure catcher and could not reach them. Another squirmed right into its hole. Anyway, one kill for the pp700sa and the other eight fell to the Bantam Sniper HR.

Geeze Dude, you and that Bantam are a rodent's worst nightmare. I COMMEND you for keeping at this crazy hobby and whacking 'em down. You can hardly kill all of them so it's a perfect story for a guys like you, myself, Ranchibi and others that love whacking 'em, .

I have an ATN 4x Pro coming and WILL give it a go at my closest, and clean, dairy. They GOTTA have rats there with all the food, 500 cows, and a bajillion starling.

You have a mix of lighting conditions, day or night, it seems to me?

@mikehunt, that clean dairy should definitely have rats and other pests. Good luck. The lighting conditions vary from just good silhouettes in the shadows or holes. To great clear shots on them.

@hal4son, yes barn lights and lots of shadows. In the fall and winter I run a red light because of early darkness. Been using the Bantam three years now. It has been consistently accurate and reliable from day one. I'm still totally satisfied with it and its performance.

Oh YEAH! That ATN will be the perfect scope/tool for nite ratting! Can't wait for the vids Mike! Woo Hoo! Also, you'll probably whacking the huge norway rats as they're more communal than rattus rattus which are much more territorial!
