Shot my 34 today

I got my 34 in .177 out today to restore some self confidence after shooting my 48 Saturday. The 48 don't like me and really I don't like it much either, lol. Anyway the 34 is just a fun gun to shoot, plus it's very accurate and easy to shoot. I was just plinking trying different holds and shooting a couple different pellets. I was pretty much done when I noticed a fly on the target, the first shot missed by about 1/8", the fly didn't seem to be bothered and just walked a small circle. the second shot didn't miss, 25 yards.

Nice shooting Justin, lucky Musca Domestica aren’t protected in Kentucky. Looks like you were using up targets leftover from Oldspooks challenge. I might print some off and have a go with my 77.

Thanks Gary. Oldspooks target is one of my favorites, my problem is that I can't seem to keep everything together long enough to shoot it clean. One of these days I will shoot it clean with the 48 or the 34.............if I live long enough. lol

It has a full power Vortek spring kit in it. I also removed the sights, installed a Straight Shooters muzzlebrake and a installed a soft thin Pachmayr recoil pad when I refinished the stock over the winter. The muzzlebrake is nothing more than a weight that I use for a cocking handle.

Nice... I have a 34p .177 synthetic stock that I couldn’t shoot well. I recently put a Vortek 12 ft lb kit in it. I can hit what I’m aiming at most of the time now, but I still don’t believe a fly at 25 yds is in any danger.

Good shot! I like to do that if I find a fat tick in my dogs, but Im not posting pictures because it's too graphic, lol.
