shot count on the JSAR Raptor vs the Raptor mini ?

In one of the YouTube videos with Rick , Travis says the full size raptor is getting 50 shots at 80fpe with 350cc tank.

I would guess the raptor mini could get 30-35 shots? Reduced shot count due to shorter barrel, high reg pressure and smaller plenum.

Don't let that be taken wrong and understand that WHILE a 350cc tank, starting pressure on a fill is 4350-4500 psi and those 50 shots are likely happening down to the regs set pressure (est @ 2200 psi) which translates to those 50 shots using 2150-2300 psi from the bottle. * 50 shots on 2300 psi is 46 psi drop per shot.

* Big difference in that the same gun shooting off a 350 cc 3K bottle would only have @ 800 psi to give before hitting set point at @ 2200 which would yield at the same 46 psi per shot .... 17-18 shots.

Just keeping it real & unless you can fill said gun to 4350-4500 psi at every fill the numbers kinda become mute ?

motorhead , you are ahead of me on this. i don't readily know pressure levels. i would power the gun at basic level , say 230 bar and shoot it down to just above where reg drops off , guessing about 145 bar.

Just responded to the post made on the shot count and other posters statement of efficiency.

EITHER gun on the same size bottle, same caliber in a power range both guns can muster, count will be a tad better on the longer barreled RAPTOR standard over the shorter barreled MIni.

At modest power levels at similar caliber, both can make similar power. When leaned on for MAX power a larger plenum and longer barrel will also make the greatest power.

IMO the full size RAPOR best suited for High power .25 and above, where the Mini will likely handle everything up to .25 cal and able to make good power at the expense of a bit of efficiency and shot count due to the smaller bottle.

.

I think this post, of all the thousands I have read in past three+ years, is the first that put this relationship in the best, most succinct, most "light dawns on marblehead" terms possible. Thanks, Scott.

Been watching and reading up on the JSAR and the technology / engineering that has been put into these rifles. They seems to be well thought out and the performance levels are superb. I would love to shoot one and own one at some point in time . The poppet valve is a superior design compared to most pcp 🔨 valves. Would love to see some reviews and guys shooting pigeons and sparrows and show the accuracy and smoothness of the poppet valve thru the scope cam.
