Short shots with a bullpup

I have 5 PCPs and three are bullpups, all SPA P35s. So the scope is really high and as a consequence, they shoot really low until around 20 yards. They don't shoot low again until around 40 yards but that is not todays topic. I missed a squirrel twice last week at about 10 yards because I forgot this. So I messed around with the 177 and the 22 to understand better. I shot targets at 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 33.3 yards. Chairgun was not far off and at 10 yards they shoot over an inch low. May not totally explain my misses but certainly suggests I need to aim differently. What I noticed that may be useful to others is using the first lower mil dot with the scope set on 6X is a pretty good work around. I've been shooting Crosman swinging targets for practice at 8-11 yards offhand and I think I've only missed once doing this. I think it will work a lot better than what I did last week. I might miss high by 15 yards and at 20 I don't need to make any adjustment but really close I think I will try this. Now if that pesky squirrel just gives me another chance....
