Thanks, guys. Because I am zeroed for 50y I have to hold under because he was somewhere around 25 to 35 and the slug parted him through the underside and caught his dirt pile in the process. In the slow-mo, you can see what is left of him flipping to the right as he deposited a blood trail across the drain pipe. When I lifted him, it was pretty gruesome for sure.

I was doing some work in the yard yesterday, and it seems a bunch have moved in. My Jack Russel is ancient now, and no help in controlling them like he was when we had an infestation around the fruit trees at our old place. I’ve never seen one of the bastedges in the daylight, so I’m trying to figure out the best way to eliminate them. Any insights greatly appreciated.
