shopping list for crosman doomsday backpacker...

the adapters are on Ebay for 25.00 and the key to an adapter is you can move your LDC from gun to gun, many adapters and one good LDC

and if removable the gun is shorter

just a note I like to put a o-ring on the adapters, so the LDC snugs up to the o-ring, it will come of when needed easier

GMAC in the UK makes some really nice 1/2x20 unf barrel adapters. Then you can use a DonnyFL Tanto for a suppressor. They aren't available in .177 but .22 will still take the bark out of your gun- even a .25 cal one will work. It did on mine. DonnyFl product are that good. I can't remember if the open sights are still usable with the tanto but I use a scope on mine anyway.

The GMAC barrel adapter is a tight fit on the pump tube and pump lever but is a loose fit on the barrel. A bit of rubber glue in the barrel socket fixes the loose fit. The tight fit for the pump and lever are improvements but makes assembly a bit difficult. I also had to shave a bit of material off the front end of the pump handle so that the pump could be opened enough. The adapter is a bit chunky and doesn't allow for enough clearance for the pump arm to open fully. No big deal though. A few minutes with the Dremel and you're done.

However, after you've spent all that money on upgrading your Crosman, you may wonder why you didn't just buy a higher priced airgun to begin with. Well, because its fun to upgrade these classic Crosmans! There's whole forums on the subject.

I too have bought a couple of the "LDC's" from Poland. They are machined very well. Shipping takes about 3 weeks but it's worth it.
