Shooting Wadcutters at 10-Meters Only what rifle

The Crosman Challenger 2021 is an awesome rifle. I’m not a competition shooter but I got a good deal on the classifieds and picked up a Crosman Challenger 2021 and it shoots so well. Comes with some great adjustable competition level sights ( again, I’m not a competitor so what’s great to me…?). It has a scope rail so naturally I also mounted a scope and then my ego really puffed up😂. At 15 yards it was just all pellets in one hole. Now, I’m sure yours and my Crown .177 will do the same at 15 yards with scopes. The Challenger is just a light weight, low power, very quiet little rifle that just sips the air from it’s tube. I believe I read that it will get about 300 shots per fill. I haven’t counted them yet.

Unless I was already set up for PCP, I'd go to a good used bulk CO2 rifle. CO2 is cheaper( $50 investment will get you thousands of shots/years of use ), safer (works at sub 900psi pressures) , easier to manage ( tanks are leased so nothing to buy/maintain) and just as accurate for indoor shooting. There are ALLOT of used CO2 rifles on the market that are Olympic grade yet short money. I shoot both a Styer LP1 Match pistol and a Walter CGM (both in CO2) and wouldn't trade them for the world. Here is my CGM with sights as purchased for $400 a few years back. It's an amazing machine. I've been known to scope it to hunt bugs and aspirins in the back yard :)

Hello everyone,

If you were going to buy a new PCP .177cal Rifle to only shoot Wadcutter Pellets at only 10-Meter targets what would you choose and why?

Not a pcp, the Diana 75…a recoiless spring gun..spits wad cutters into the same hole ( if the shooter does their part) is well balanced, reliable, infinitely adjustable to fit your shooting position, quiet, and still available in the used market.

Hello everyone,

I appreciate all of the shared information given, but I am curious about three guns not mentioned so far:
1) FX Biathlon
2) Beeman Competition 1380
3) Air Venturi Avenger

I would really like some feedback from members that own or have owned one of this rifles ( the key here ) and shot Wadcutter pellets with the rifle.

Thanks again,
ThomasT

Thomas, my Avenger doesn't do wadcutters very well. At least not as well as you are looking for. I have a 22 Avenger and it is so-so out to 25 yards, and pretty fair to poor beyond that. It's a fun gun, but shot count isn't up with the low velocity Olympic style guns. Just my opinion.

Hello Ross,

Thank you I appreciate your input.

Let me ask you a question besides what you’ve stated you want to know what are you looking for? Do you want to win at the Olympics or are you just an average shooter looking to improve? Do you want to spend $300 or $3000. You seem to be all over the place. And the beeman you mentioned according to top airgun is discounted
Pretty much what I stated.
