Shooting the legs off a chicken

Really board and decided to see if I could. I went to the poultry trade show in Atlanta a few months ago and an exhibitor was giving away some chicken “Mardi gra neckless with some plastic chickens. I decided to hang one on my feeder and see if I could hit it. Then I came to me the real challenge would be to see if I could use my FX Streamline in 177 to cut the 3 mm legs off. I was able to do it from 18 yards ( chip shot for Bob O).

Is that a dime on that there chicken? Lessin that’s a half dollar yur a good shot! Also I gotta wonder bout the group that sits about in the vitals of a squirrel on top of the feeder. Nothing has expired whilst sitting in that there area has it? Ha ha! Keep having fun!!

Ha! That's great!

Years ago when I had my body shops, we'd stash funny decorations all over the place.. 
There were a bunch of rubber chickens [dog squeak toys] from the dollar store

When we got bored, we'd toss em' outside, and shoot at them with my Gamo P23 pistol.. 
The bigger ones [like a foot tall] were also used a lot as long distance targets for my springers.

Fun times.

The thread name reminded me when I was a kid. My brother founds BBs in some of his chickens legs when he butchered them. 50 years later he still Whitches at me for shooting his chickens. It was my neighbor friend. But my brother still doesn’t believed it wasn’t me.

YES. The title sounds horrible! I mean, why would someone;

1. shoot the legs of a Chicken, which is clearly animal cruelty, and has nothing to do with hunting

2. want to see such a thing? Who gets off on that?
