Maybe. I've found that you may have to try different slug brands and different weights to find one that shoots well in your gun, just like you have to with pellets. Now FX created the Hybrid slugs to shoot in their barrels except, I believe, for the original smooth twist barrels with the rifling at the end of the barrel only. However, they just came out recently with their "Superior" barrel (only in .25 so far) which is supposed to be better than the "Slug Liner A" which was supposed to shoot slugs better than the Smooth twist X barrels. Hopefully, the "Superior" barrel is the last one for awhile. Perhaps FX is now working on a "Super, Duper, Improved, Superior" barrel?
So far, for my .25 Impact, I have the original pellet barrel, a slug liner "A", and the new Superior barrel which shoots pellets magnificently out to 50 yards. I shot a few FX Hybrid slugs at 50 and they show some promise. I haven't tried slugs at 75 or 92 yards at my backyard range yet.
