I do something similar but I prefer the heavy duty latex gloves I found at Lowe’s they are a bit thicker than the medical gloves and don’t tear easily . Over them I’ll wear a thin glove liner then either mittens with a flap for fingers"NL-Law"It depends on the type of cold we are talking about. In “extreme” cold, (under minus 20 celcius), I wear thick padded gloves with tight fitting black nitrile gloves (like mechanic gloves) underneath. When it’s time to shoot, the nitrile gloves are like a second skin and keep me warm for a few minutes til I can put the warm ones back on.
