Shooting a Springer...for Dummies

Serious question. I shoot a fair bit of rimfire factory benchrest. There we want consistent recoil as well. Many opt for "free recoil" as an option.

How would you see the difference in free recoil and the artillery hold working here?

I shoot BR .22 yes artillery hold works here too.

I found out groups tighten up when I put a piece of silk on my shooting bag
This allowed free movement in shoot recoil I believe
