Rainy and overcast and the entire family has a cold that I don’t, time to go shooting.

I was lucky enough to win this unique rifle in an auction, and I absolutely love carrying it in the woods when I’m walking.

It is a Sheridan Super Grade B, converted to PCP by a serious collector who could not physically pump a B up. It shoots 22 cal 18g JSBs at 900 fps...that’s a bit of power for this lightweight classic.

Its wearing an old peep rear, and a hooded front post. It’s quite a bit like shooting a 4570 Gov at long range.

I did not know it had been converted when I won the auction, I found out when I had it in my hands.

The trigger on this is not great, that’s the one area that I wish could be improved. The triggers on the A model super grades were awesome, not so much on this one.

I shot a half dozen groups at 100 yards. 4, 3 shot groups plus a sight in group from a front rest. 2 off-hand groups. Needless to say the crows need to be wary when this one’s around.

The circles I drew on the cardboard did not work as targets at all. The inverted triangle worked pretty good. My best luck with using the entire site picture and lining up the post on the edge of the paper

I think a real nice model B is going to pull more than three grand at this point. About six years ago I bought both an A and a B, for 2500. I had a guy call me and ask me if he could buy the B for 2600 before I even tried to sell it... I did sell him the rifle.

The super grade A model is actually a nicer rifle. They are both really cool.
