Shootin' PCPs !!

Winds have been fairly calm the last few days.

Left group: .25 Taipan Veteran shorty in Standard stock (black)

Center group: .25 Gen 4 Vulcan

Right group: .22 Taipan Veteran shorty in Standard stock (brown)

5 shots each at 75 yards, three different days.

Two bags rested on wiggly IKEA table 😅

That’s about what my groups look like when things are right. Some among use seem to do better but that looks real world to me. And every once in a while I’ll lay down a real good one but I can’t repeat it. I have learned there are two things required. A very careful follow though and if there is ANY wind it will open up the group significantly at 75 or further. Thanks for showing your results. Nice rifles

Three NICE shooting rigs there Matt! I really like the looks of the black one.

Good shooting too! They all look pretty close to each other. Gotta love the .22 results.

Out of the three, which one would be the keeper over the others?

Thanks, bReTt !

They're all keepers but if I HAD to sell one it would be the Vulcan.

Only because I don't really NEED 45 FPE in my smallish yard.

I keep it cause it's just so darn accurate and reliable. It never disappoints 🎯

All three of these guns shoot better than I do.

The .22 I bought used at a time when I couldn't find a new one anywhere.

I believe it used to belong to Davecole here on AGN.

It was my 1st Taipan and it's probably my favorite to this day. Really good barrel in it 👍

The .25 shorty I just love. It's so fun to shoot and pretty darn accurate, too.

Smooth, solid firing cycle and superb trigger.

Love shooting it off the bench in the standard stock 👌

Thanks, bubbler!

You got that right about the wind!

I don't like to shoot past 50 unless it's really calm out.

It was fairly calm this morning so I printed another "group" target. This time including my Ukraine .22 shorty.

Hope everyone is shooting their PCPs 🎯

Middle: .25 shorty/ black standard stock. KINGS at 870 fps

Right middle: .25 Vulcan. KINGS at 900 fps

Lower right: .22 shorty in it's factory short stock. 14.35 JSB at 870 fps

Lower left: .22 shorty in a standard stock. 18gr JSB at 870 fps

75 yards. Little bit of a breeze kicked up on the lower left target.

Below: .22 Ukraine shorty

Nice Matt -

Cool, now this one's a proper Bullpup..!

The scope is a little long distance, for a "close quarters combat weapon", but...

Mike

Thanks, Mike!

The scope is a 4-12 Leupold with mil dot reticle. I have three of them.

I love these scopes. Super light at 15.5 ounces.

Focus down to 17 yards at 12x and 10 yards at 6x.

Squirrels are easy from 10 to 75 yards.

Took a groundhog at 60 the other day with my .25 shorty. Head shot!

Matt, those are some fine PCPs you have there. Love the UIT rails installed in the Taipan stocks and of course, the Vulcan has this rail from factory. Those are two of my favorite PCPs actually with Cricket being at the top as well. Nice shooting too bud.

Thanks zx10wall!

Pulled the .25 shorty out today and punched some paper at 75 yards.

Here's the best group of the day.
