Shipping overseas

I was doing a deal on one of my airguns with a member I will not name and it was going good, but I found out it was being shipped to an east coast address and then overseas. To me there is a lot of gray areas when it comes to shipping overseas. I used to sell muzzleloader parts and I would never knowingly sell to someone overseas. Anyway I cancelled the deal, and the buyer is not happy, so what would you guys have done?

no reason to hide my name...

bought many guns from forums. i bought great cz200 from dairyboy, bucaneer, couple discoveries, marauders, also sold first silver leshiy in USA.

the fact that i live overseas does not mean that i am scammer or something like that. i asked you to ship the gun in DE state where my friend lives and then all the responsibilities are on myself. after payment is done and i receive the gun in USA, its my right if i will crush the gun, burn it or send it into space with an airship.

It depends on which country the consignee is residing. For example the US Postal service will not ship airguns, their stocks etc to New Zealand. This is because the NZ Customs prohibit these items from being imported by private buyers. The US Govt appears to also prohibit the export of some airgun related accessories. So in my opinion you are being sensible by exercising caution. However once our have satisfied yourself that it is ok to export the gun, then go for it if payment has been received.

Just an FYI: You do put the seller in a bind telling them they are selling to a 3rd party that will then ship the product overseas. They then have to know the laws of both the U.S. and the other country because they can be held legally responsible.

my friend is not third party. he checks everything for me. and i told the seller after he sends the gun all responsibilities i am taking on myself
