Is there any way when I order my air rifle that there is some sort of insurance I can pay for to cover me if my package gets stolen?

Why don't you just have them ship it to you requiring a signature ? It wold be a lot cheaper than paying for insurance.

USPS, UPS and Fedex all offer insurance on shipped packages. I have obtained reimbursement from USPS when a package was lost in transit with a value of $50.
I understand that it is almost impossible to obtain refund from UPS for damage in shipment as they claim the packaging was at fault. Supposedly this is somewhat better with FedEx and best with USPS.

UPS reminds me of both GEICO and Progressive. The reason they have so many TV ads, is a reflection of their reimbursement policy. In a word or two.... They don't!
