I want to put some guns up for sale shortly. I will need some boxes for shipping them. Where is a good place to get a couple of shipping boxes. I lost the originals when I moved 3 years ago. Thanks

Furniture or appliance stores. Get big boxes and cut them down to fit your needs. Freezer and refrigerator boxes work well.

Uhaul has boxes not bad pricing or at least last time I was there. Will need to cut down as was mentioned above.

Get some carpet padding while you're at it. Light years ahead of bubbles, paper, and (useless) peanuts.

Go to a sporting goods store or better yet a store that specializes in selling golf equipment. The heavy duty boxes that golf clubs are shipped in are ideal for shipping airguns.

Pay for insurance!! My second Hatsan Proxima showed up in pieces from Hastan today. Not their fault. It had everything to do with USPS .. It had one ruff ruff ride!!

If that's all the packing that was in the box it had everything to do with the way it was packed. But yes, pay for the insurance.

I have had exceptional luck taking an original gun box (whatever gun, doesn't matter) and using it as a base for a box built around it using Luan (AKA "Door Skin"
which is a plywood that is 1/5" thick. It comes in 4 x 8 sheets. I use the gun box as a base and build a case around it using the Luan and "speed tape" or "duct tape". Takes just a few minutes with a jig saw but once built you can use it over and over when shipping to a tuner for example. It is about $22 per sheet (wow it has gone up). You could use 1/4 Utility OSB. It is $15 a sheet. Anyway works for me.Upvote 0
