Hi guys, I have an FX impact .25 with the telescopic shroud. I love how short it is with shroud collapsed,and with it extended its not real loud,but still not mouse fart quiet. I have a wildcat .22 with a huggett and it is super quiet,pellet smacking target is louder than the gun. I want my impact to be this quiet. Are the fixed shrouds with a Donny or huggett that much quieter than the telescopic shroud? Any input from other impact owners would be great and thanks.

You can just unscrew your shroud and expose your barrel which is threaded on the end.. Then just screw on a moderator of your choice. I have a Donny FL KOI on my impact. Total length of the rifle is 30 inches and very quiet.

Thanks cahil_2 , do you happen to have any pics to see what rifle looks like without shroud and to see length? Do you have a .25?

Well, it’s no Impact but it’s quiet with that big honking pickle on the end.... DonnyFL SUMO and well worth it in quality and quiet. Great guy to deal with too, real down to earth and likes to talk airguns.

Ive the donny and stock shroud. It's easier to carry with the stock shroud, so the Donny is only for the backyard.
The Donny is quieter, but the pellet hits so loud and hard, it's not very secretive. I practise with the .177 and get away with more shooting before the neighbor peeks over the fence and asks: " what's up, doc?"
