Match Report for yesterday's Benchrest shoot

Twenty seven sets of cards were shot this past weekend at the Sherwood Airgunners Club near Steubenville Ohio with several people shooting more than one class.

The Spring Piston class had four entry's with Al Duster who just returned to shooting after having some surgery still being able to top the list shooting a very respectable cards of 237 6x/ 241 6x and 242 3x for a total of 720 14x. Shannon Jones of West Virginia had second sewed up with a very nice 711 18x finish.

In the youth class the McKinney brothers showed a lot of the adults how it's done with Connor besting his brother Cameron with a 246 8x /243 7x /242 7x total of 731 22x finish!! Connor shot one point better than his Dad with the same Daystate Red Wolf!! Look out in the future as these boys are serious!!

The lite Varmint Class was topped by Keith Walters who dropped only 2 points for the three cards 249 16x /250 15x / 249 14x total of 748 45x total to Jeff Swartz from Cincinati who shot another nice score of 247 6x / 250 9x / 249 14x 746 25x total for second place.

Heavy Varmint Class had 15 entry's this time and Keith Walters once again topped the list by almost shooting a perfect score missing it by only one point on the three cards shooting 249 8x /250 21x / 250 17x for a total of 749 46x He was followed by Rick Smelco 248 11x / 250 14x / 248 12x 746 37x for second and Dave Campbell with 247 12x / 248 10 x / 248 14x / 743 36x total for third. Thanks to all who came out to support our club and to everyone that helped to put on this shoot!! It gives the Ohio and surrounding area airgunners a place to shoot during the long Ohio winters!!

Our next shoot is scheduled for Sunday March 27th exactly a month from now. Hope to see you all back again then!!
