Sherwood Airgunners 25yd Indoor Benchrest results January 14, 2024
We had 8 shooters participate in our second Benchrest match of this 2024 winter season. A few of those shooting in multiple categories on this very cold winter day. We had multiple cancellations due to bad weather where a high temp was in the mid teens with wind gusts up to 30mph which made traveling difficult.
In Heavy varmint we had 7 shooters with Doug Cunningham shooting his new Thomas to the win. Doug's cards were 248/11x, 243/8x, 249/12x = 740/31x. In second using match director Keith Walters rifle a RAW BM500 Dreamsicle was Jeff Richards. Jeff's total was 738/42x. In third was Dave Campbell shooting a Daystate Wolverine for a 735/24x. Congradulations guys.
In light varmint we had Doug Cunningham and Jeff Richards slugging it out with Jeff coming out on top this time using Keith's Dreamsicle once again for a 744/30x. Jeff cards were 245/6x, 250/9x, 249/15x =744/30x.
In spring Piston Al Duster dominated once again. Al’s scores were 244/7x, 244/11x, 243/11x = 731/29x.
Great shooting once again Al.
We had one 250 card shot by Jeff Richards and Doug Cunningham and Jeff Richards were tied with the high X count for a match with 42Xs. Nice shooting guys.
During the match the shooters enjoyed sloppy joes made by Keith and also hotdogs were served. We thank everyone who came and shot with us on this very cold winter day. Our next BR match with be February 11, 2024. This matches scores will be accumulated for the King of Sherwood Bench Rest award which will go to the top shooter in each category, Heavy Varmint, Light Varmint, and Spring Piston. Your best 3 out of 4 matches will be used.
