Sheridan and Peep sight

I have a 1964 Sheridan Blue Streak. It has two drilled and tapped holes left side. Does any one know if currently available peep sights on various airgun retail sites will fit. Many I have seen are mounted on the right side.

The holes are .5" apart center to center.

As dv8od said, they hold the bolt in place and adjust how tightly it closes with a wedge that is behind the flat plate. You will need to remove the bolt before drillind and tapping the Right side of the receiver for the Williams 5Dsh peep sight which is designed for the Sheridan. It would be wise to have the sight in your possession before drilling and tapping to be sure to get the correct hole spacing and the right size threads. The sight comes supplied with screws for mounting btw.

Thank you. I plan to have a gunsmith install the peep sight. If I cannot find one locally who is familiar with pellet guns I'll send it off somewhere.
I installed mine back in the late eighties, before internet help was a thing. I really marvell at some of the stuff I did.
At that time I installed a trigger shoe, and drilled and tapped the trigger guard for different size irises. I also added a hood on the front sight.
Beeman came out with some decent .20 cal
ammo back then.
Tim, at Mac1 Air Guns, can do your install, and just about anything else you want done.
Do a internet search for Mac1 Airgun Distributors, and it will give you all of his contact info.
