Sheridan 2260MB CO2 Rifle

2240 with a steel breech, longer barrel, longer (but mostly unused) C02 tube and a rifle stock, oh and the trigger group from the discovery.. Should be more powerful than the 2240 with the longer barrel but still limited by CO2 power. Accuracy will depend upon the barrel and finding the right pellet. ((Many Crosman products are Lego projects))

Giving up on the 397?

No I'm not giving up on the 397. It got shipped out today but I don't know if someone will be here to answer the door to sign for it. It has to get signed for. That 397 was almost 200 dollars with shipping and taxes new. I'm only going to shoot it once in a great while. Target shooting bores me is why. I'd never do hunting either plus the hunting areas by me are far away.

Gotcha, I think crosman called there branded model the 2260. It's a good gun in it's category. I'd love to temp you to try short range target shooting (garage/basement/or...) But would hate to tempt you toward some thing in your 'boring' category. I shoot mostly 50-100 yards but get great pleasure in shooting 10m rifle/pistol when the weather is not cooperating. If you search for this or any rifle, you'll find stuff on a couple other forums if not here. My fav has years of info on the crosman's but it's all in the archive now. Still accessible just not as readable.

I love my 2260. It has a left handed breech, extended probe, lightened trigger, modified valve, larger transfer port, recrowned barrel, and a TKO moderator.

It's shooting H&N FTT 14.66g at 15FPE and getting 25 good shots/cart @ 85* with a wait of 30 seconds between shots.

Very quiet and accurate out to 40 yards.

Many a squirrel and rabbit have fallen to it.

Cool. I might buy one sometime. It would be better than pumping. Lol.

Is that with a scope or without a scope that you get such good accuracy? I seen a review online of it and the person said the factory sights suck on it. What do you think about the factory sights?

Is it accurate? Yes does it have flaws? I dont know every gun has strengths and weaknesses. I can tell you the trigger is pretty heavy. I dont know that its any different from the 392 as far as trigger pull wieght. I hear alot of guys complaining about triggers and barrel twist and blah blah blah. Rarely have I shot a crosman that I couldn't shoot extreemly well. They are usually very accurate with many upgrades available. I love that gun. Wish it came in 20 cal though.

I just ordered it today. It was 160.49 with taxes and free shipping. I got sick of pumping with the Benjamin 397. When I took the 397 to the shooting range to test it I only made like 20 shots or less because I hated all that pumping. I was pumping it 3 times everytime before I shot. Lets hope there is nothing wrong with the Sheridan 2260mb when I get it. I want to put a scope on that now not the 397. I'm still waiting on a scope mount to come in for the 397. The scope came in today. It's for .22 caliber real rifles I think. And it's a 4x32 scope by center point I think.
