I have a Leopold VX3 2.5-8x (10.9oz) on my Super Redhawk. It works pretty great and has something like 15" of eye relief. I also use a Burris 2-7x32 Scout (13oz) on my 450 Bushmaster scout rifle. The eye relief is a little less at 12" but I have a sneaking suspicion that it would work well on a pistol if needed.
Very happy with the Burris 2x20. 10-24" eye relief.
I looked through a Leupold FX-II Handgun 4x28mm, even nicer but not $200 nicer IMO. And 4x is a bit much since most of my shooting is 10 - 20'. Optics planet specs say 18" eye relief.
As above, I've also got a Burris, Scout Scope. I had it on my M1a, SOCOM 16. Works great... It's obviously not red dot or Prism light, but it's plenty usable. Much easier to use than I originally figured. I originally put it on my AP16 for the hell of it. But...it works. So for at least the time being, this scope has found a new home.
